The Construction & Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG) is a non-profit organisation to represent the construction and mining equipment industry and allied equipment and services on issues impacting on the delivery of business. |
Membership
The Association combines all the disciplines of the construction and mining equipment industry throughout Australia -- including manufacturers, importers, suppliers and service organisations. Members to the Association include companies like Komatsu, Volvo Construction Equipment, BT Equipment, Caterpillar of Australia, CJD Equipment, Hitatchi Construction Equipment, Dynapac and Cutting Edges.
CMEIG members include:
- Manufacturers and importers
- Wholesalers
- Distributors / dealers
- Ancillary equipment suppliers
- Service providers
The membership categories of the Association are:
Equipment (E) |
Manufacturers of equipment bearing a trademark owned or licensed by that company who are actively engaged in importing (new equipment), manufacture and/or assembly in Australia of such products having general application in the construction and mining industries. |

Distributor/Dealer (D) |
A distributor or dealer of new and used construction and mining equipment. An equipment importer/manufacturer who is also a dealer shall be in the ‘equipment’ member category. |

Allied National (A) |
Manufacturers or importers of parts or attachments for equipment which has general application in the construction and mining industries which includes companies that supply equipment parts, buckets, quickhitches, attachments, engines etc. on a national basis. |

Allied State (L) |
State based manufacturers or importers of parts or attachments for equipment which has general application in the construction and mining industries which includes companies that supply equipment parts, buckets, quickhitches, attachments, engines etc. |

Associate (S) |
A company engaged in the supply of minor products and services to the construction and mining industries. Companies in this category would include financial, marketing, insurance brokers and other organisations similar in nature. |

Life |
An individual who has been recognised by his/her peers for their contribution to the industry. |
The subscription fee varies according to membership level. Subscription fees are applicable for the calendar year from 1 January to 31 December. A separate sheet outlining the current fee structure is available on request or refer to the web site. A Tax Invoice will be issued to your company when the membership application has been accepted.
Members are welcome to participate on a series of industry working groups applicable to their category of membership. For more details refer to our Working Groups link in the main menu.
The membership database consisting of names, titles, organisation and addresses may be issued to third parties based on a stringent approval process by the CMEIG National Executive. Please review the Association’s privacy policy.
By completing the application form, it is accepted that you and your company will abide by the rules and practices developed by the Association in consultation with its members.
