As part of understanding the causes of injury and illness in the industry, CMEIG’s HSE Working Group members have contributed to a summary of statistics over the past few years.
Chair of the CMEIG HSE Working Group, Alison Stewart, commented that objective data, on an aggregated industry basis, is instructive both within our individual member businesses but also guides where the HSE Working Group prioritises its safety improvement activities.
In addition, the CMEIG HSE Working Group are also working colaboratively sharing information on risk control methodologies for high risk activities such as working at heights and the practical application of impacting national legislation such as the National Heavy Vehicle laws – Chain of Responsibility.
