CMEIG has undertaken a review of the current skills training packages for apprentices.
Key outcomes of the review are that whilst the training packages provide a solid foundation urgent future collaboration is required between Government and Industry (Skills Reform Australia Government) to address key developments such as `Autonomous Driver Assistance Systems’ and specialised skill training development for `Emerging Power Systems’ such as Electric, Hydrogen and Hybrid powered equipment.
A CMEIG working group has been formed to address the Industry/Employer considerations outlined in this Paper.
