A group of leading CMEIG OEMs has collaborated to provide valuable input to the Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance (AUSMASA), the Jobs and Skills Council, outlining necessary changes to the Mobile Plant Technology qualification to better align with the future needs of the industry.

The proposal submitted to AUSMASA is grounded in the following key insights:

  • The availability of electrical and alternate technology-powered equipment that is already commercially available in the Australian market.
  • The experience of CMEIG member companies in safely operating construction and mining equipment.
  • The deep technology and engineering safety expertise offered by CMEIG member organisations.
